Our senses have many limitations
sight
hearing
smell (not in the Qur’an) –
taste (not in the Qur’an) – we first taste with our eyes!
touch (not in the Qur’an)

TOUCH
Our sense of touch can also be fooled.
Many people who have had a limb amputated feel itches in the missing limb.
Another example is the feeling of hot and cold, which seems to measure temperature, but does not.
If I touch a piece of metal and a piece of cloth in the same room, the metal feels colder, even though both are the same (room) temperature.
The sense of touch actually relates to heat flow.
Because metal conducts heat better than cloth does, more heat flows from my finger into the metal, and it feels “colder.”
SMELL
I have yet to find someone who travels to a place to “smell” something
TASTE

It is this exact reason why it is so difficult to envision Jahannam, Jannah
Allah did not send man deaf, blind, dumb.
WHAT SEEMS REAL IS ACTUALLY NOT REAL. We are here today but time has passed by. We are already in the past (ref a)
move reliance from self to Allah… so that when the time actually comes you are fully prepared!

STAGES IN LIFE
And we come into this world, with no memory of our past existence. Yet we know that we existed.
STAGES: BIRTH, GROWTH, MATURE,DECLINE
we don’t know whether we are male or female
we find our place in this earth
we take for granted our ability (go back: what is evident is not actually real. example: who grows the seed?)
No! [But] indeed, man transgresses, Because he sees himself self-sufficient. Sura ‘Alaq

DAY OF REGRET
I had a bag… I did not fill it up. I wandered in the garden.. wondering, and I wasted my time – without picking up apples. And now my time is up!
I don’t know how much hasanat is needed to cancel out my bad deeds
I don’t know if I made it or not… I have to wait till death.
